Camp Boss: This person has the responsibility
of looking after the catering department. They may have an
average salary of £30,000 or US$55,500. Tasks include the
overseeing of the stewards or stewardesses and chefs.
Chef or Cook: He/she has a salary of £26,000
or US$39,000. Their responsibilities include the daily cooking
duties and reporting to Camp Boss who supervises and assists
when needed.
Steward or Stewardess: This person will help out in
the kitchen by assisting the cooks. They also clean the rooms
and manage the laundry. Has a salary of £20,000 or US$30,000.
Night Cook /Baker: This person has a general
salary of £26,000 or US$45,000. This is a vital position aboard
a rig as this person cooks all bread for the next day. Will
have a night shift from late night to early morning.
